We had a fantastic holiday here in June 2022 the hotel was right by the beach and room was ideal with garden in front of the terrace. The staff was amazing they all called us b y our christian names and we new them by there names. Clavis / Nick/ Nicky/ Ryan all were polite and helpful . They had their own section of the beach and we had waiter service for drinks and food brought to you. Can’t wait to go back again soon. Thanks to everyone for making our holiday so good. 👍👍👍

We booked this hotel at the last minute. Went 27th Sept till 4th Oct. We have never been to Kefalonia before and we loved it. The hotel is beautiful, clean and perfectly placed for the small centre, buses, taxis and beach. Fabulous location with a lovely infinite pool. Breakfast was basic but adequate for us. Niko in the bar was lovely and served amazing cocktails. We will definitely go again. The hotel closed for the season as we left and George the owner came out and waved us all off…. so nice.

August 2020 This was our 6th or 7th visit to Anassa Villas. I’m sure like many travellers we were concerned about keeping our holiday plans but on arrival at the Queen of Villas we immediately relaxed as it was clear every effort had been made to ensure it was covid safe with dettol spray and hand sanitizer provided, it was reassuring to see the same maintenance gentleman checking everything was good with the villa. When the pool lights came on at unusual times it was repaired as soon as we mentioned it. I felt safer in Kefalonia than the U.K. a perfect escape from working throughout the pandemic. We so glad we kept our holiday plans this year.

Our villa had no electricity and no water for 60 hours in th middle of the hurricane so we dropped in to Anassa for breakfast. The meal was welcome and delicious. We were served by Mary who was a friendly human dynamo, nothing was too much trouble, and she was swift and we felt very well looked after.

While waiting for our phones to charge in reception the English manager, and the barman both offered us the use of Anassa’s facilities especially showers if we needed them. They were so helpful, concerned and friendly. Thank you all so much, it really touched us.

Yet another fantastic stay at the Anassa. The staff, the food, the service, the rooms, absolutely incredible! Special thanks to Nick, Hercules and Aris(?) for their non stop supply of cocktails and black sambuca!! See you in 2021 🙂

Just returned from our first visit to Skala.The reason for our holiday this year was to attend a family wedding and we had a really great time staying at the Anassa. The service and staff was exceptional. Everyone was very friendly and always greeted you with a smile. Food was really good and the portions were huge.Ideal location just across from the beach.We would love to return another year and we would not stay anywhere else.

Just got back from another fantastic holiday at the Anassa.This was our 3rd visit and once again George Effie Hercules Clare and all the staff made our holiday so special we took our daughter with us this year and she to became enchanted with The Anassa and Skala and is thinking of coming here for her honeymoon. Hecules served up some amazing home cooked lunches this year for that real authentic feel Clare worked so hard behind the bar and produced some great cocktails have already booked for next year 🙂

A big thank you to all at the Anassa for the most amazing 2 weeks. We were a large party of 45 who travelled to Skala to celebrate my daughter’s wedding. 10 of us (including Bride and Groom) stayed at the Anassa. The Anassa became the focal point for our group due to the fabulous staff and great food. Nothing was too much trouble and we will never be able to thank you all enough for making us so welcome and for making us feel so special.

Thanks to effi ,george, hercules ,nick ,claire and all the staff for a fantastic 2 week holiday, We booked our return trip the day we got home as these appartments and skala are second to non. See you all in July 2012

I’ve just been at the Anassa for 2 weeks i’v never been to Anassa before and it has been the best holiday.Effie, George, Herculese,Claire i dont know the others names but they are all fantastic and they cant do enough for you the food is amazing!The location is great right across the road from the beach and they play great music! We have jsut returned from two weeks at the Annassa 1st – 15th July. It was absolutley wonderful. Lovely studio apartments with mountain views, beautiful clean pool, wonderful friendly staff especially Hercules Alice and Claire, great food and drink, such a child friendly resort, beautiful beaches with clear sea, boats trips, simple car hire. What more can I say? We will definitley be back. Thank you Anassa

Stayed at the Anassa 22/6-6/7 and can thoroughly recommend it. Efi & George are brilliant hosts and as for Hercules’ bar/food, together with Alice, Martha & Clare, all completely fantastic. Whole holiday was excellent, will definitely return and there was nothing wrong with any of it. Must see the island by boat, moored over the road to hotel. Excellent time !!!

Our stay at the Anassa hotel was very pleasant and I wouldn’t be surprised if we return some day. Anassa Hotel is a very nice place with high standards in keeping the entire hotel including the rooms clean and tidy and has very nice and friendly owners and staff. The hotel is situated almost right at the beach, but we also had a nice time in the poolarea with the kids. Happy holiday!

Thoroughly enjoyable stay for 1 week at the hotel. Every aspect of the holiday was a pleasure, from the owners, the staff, the hotel itself, its location and the food. No fighting for or getting up early for sunbeds. The rooms were clean and tidy. Just outside the hotel you can book the glass bottom boat which is moored across the road and get the water taxi’.Would we go back, definitely. Would we recommend it, absolutely.

We have just returned from the Anassa and found the hotel to be a wonderful place for a holiday, the hotel is sparklinlg clean and beautiful decorated rooms. The pool area is so relaxing. The best part about the Anassa are the people who run it, they are concerned about you from the moment that you arrive and nothing is too much trouble for them. We can’t wait to go back 2010. What a tasteful, immaculate, beautifully appointed hotel. Studios and newly refurbished bathrooms are fantastic (boasting double wash hand basins and mirrors and an enclosed frosted glass shower cubicle with power shower), with the Anassa being situated in an ideal location, just over the road from the beach, and five to eight minutes walk from Skala’s main street with its many tavernas, bars and shops. A lovely resort which still retains its greek charm, and a first class hotel with lots of helpful staff and very friendly owners.

Just got back last week from a 2 week stay at the Anassa and missing it already!
When we arrived at the hotel we knew it was going to be one of the best. We were shown through to the bar by George and Effi for a welcome drink with Hercules,Linda and Nic. Needless to say we stayed for more than 1! Linda was fantastic and managed to rumble us up some food even though it was 11 pm.
The Anassa is in an amazing setting and the beach is literally on your doorstep (great for those moonlight swims!) The pool area is clean with plenty of sunbeds, parasols and tables for everyone.
The rooms were of a good standard and were very clean and well kept. We stayed self catering in the Thomson block, which Effi told me they were planning to upgrade during the winter months to have a larger more modern bathroom.
The Greek night was fantastic; the food laid on for this was superb and there was more than enough to go around!! Food on lunchtime was always served quickly, we really enjoyed the special Mousakka which we requested with Hercules again for our last day and again it did not disappoint.
What can I say, fantastic from start to finish! I will certainly be spreading the word about this fantastic little gem we found!!

Just to say how wonderful our holiday was. This was probably the most memorable holiday myself and Doris have had for a long time. This was due to all your care and attention to detail. On the day of the wedding you couldnt have done more and I would like to thank you and your friend for giving us the lifts to the wedding. Also can you please thank Linda, Herculus and Michael for looking after us so well and apoligise to Linda didnt get chance to give her the cocktail sticks back but your can let her know I did win so thanks for that. After a two week stay at the Anassa between the 2nd Aug-16th Aug earlier this month, we just had to drop you a line to tell you what a superb holiday we had. From the moment we walked in,the Greek hospitality from all the staff was evident and nothing was too much trouble.Hercules and Gee-Gee looked after us through the day, with Linda and Michael taking over on an evening.The food and drinks were first class and the view from the terrace out onto the sea was magnificent. Returned from Kefalonia on 12th June having spent 2 weeks at the Anassa. Effie, George, Linda and all the staff are so pleasant and made our stay wonderful. The hotel is beautiful, lovely and clean and the grounds are so pretty. The Harrison evening was great entertainment as was the barbecue, the staff worked so hard but always had a smile on their faces, suck pleasant people. We would definately recommend the Anassa and look forward to returning again. Missing it already.

hotel in one the best locations in skala,right on the beach and a few minutes walk to the main street with loads of excellent bars and restaurants,the owners effie and george and all the staff at the hotel do eveything the can to make you welcome and the pool bar is excellent our best holiday for years

Holiday’d at the Anassa from 21st May to the 3rd June 2007. Second time at Skala, first time at the Anassa. Excellent, excellent and excellent. The hotel is lovely. The staff are pleasant and make you feel like you are welcome. The location is prime for everything at Skala. We will be visiting again. If you are looking for a holiday location, you will not go far wrong if you choose the Anassa. Kevin

Have just returned home from one of the best holidays we have ever had. A big thankyou to everyone at the Anassa especially Effi & George who make you feel so welcome. The hotel is fantastic, the rooms are spotless and the pool and bar area are great with stunning views of the sea. Hercules who now runs the bar is fantastic, together with Michael and his vodka measures and cocktails they made sure we had many good nights… and hangovers!!!Can’t wait to return next year…thankyou x

Our recent second visit (May 2007) to The Anassa was, if possible, even better than the first and we look forward to out third visit, which is already booked. Our thanks to Effie, George and Hercules together with all the staff who made our stay so memorable. We cant wait to return.

WE HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM OUR FIRST VISIT TO KEFALONIA. WE HAVE BEEN TO A FEW GREEK ISLANDS BUT NONE SO PRETTY AS THIS. OUR STAY WAS MADE MORE SPECIAL AS WE STAYED AT THIS GREAT HOTEL. ALL THE STAFF WERE BRILLIANT ,,SO FRIENDLY AND AS FOR EFFIE AND GEORGE WHAT A WONDERFUL COUPLE THEY ARE !! THANKS TO EFFIE FOR BANK TRIP TO POROS XX WE BOOKED FOR NEXT YEAR BEFORE WE HAD EVEN BEEN HOME 24 HOURS. MAY WE WISH HERCULES ALL THE VERY BEST WITH HIS NEW VENTURE AND THANK MICHAEL ALSO FOR STAYING AWAKE DURING OUR LATE NIGHTS IN BAR !

Just a few words to say how much we enjoyed staying with you again. Nothing was too much trouble, everyone was so helpful and friendly. Many thanks to Linda, Vasilly and Del for the great food and drinks; the lovely Rosie who makes the best B52’s and Sophia and Eleni who kept the place so clean and tidy. Last but not least to Effi and George who not only provided the warmest welcome anyone could wish for but also provided much needed free Greek language lessons. Sandra is looking forward to seeing you in October, unfortunately I will have to wait a bit longer… see you all August 2007.

We have just returned from another holdiay lazing by the pool at the Anassa with the added bonus that this time we were actually staying there too! We can only describe the Anassa as a living paradise and kept having to pinch ourselves because we thought we were dreaming. We booked the holiday well over a year ago with our friends Phil Margaret and Stephanie and it was well worth the wait. Thank you so much to Effi, George, Spiros and everyone else at the Annasa for your warm welcome and your attentiveness for the whole of our stay. We will definately be returning for another taste of paradise. Goodbye for now until the next time.

For anyone planning on honeymooning at the Anassa- think again!! Have your wedding there like us. We couldn’t have asked for more!!!The view, the food, the party, the music!!! The service was outstanding, the staff did everything they could ensure that it WAS the best day of our lives!!! Thank you so much all of you, you will always hold a special place in our hearts!!!
We will be returning for an anniversary someday- and by all accounts some of our 23 family and friends are likely to pay you a visit too!!

We stayed at he Anassa for two weeks from 13th July 2006.
A big hello to Billy, Linda, Adel, Rosie and Nicole. Thank you so much for looking after us so well. Alex is missing you all already!
We had a really great time and enjoyed both the resort of Skala and the hotel. The staff are great, the location is spot on and the hotel is very clean, well maintained and finished to a very high standrard.
Thanks to Adel for cooking all those lovely lunches and thank you to Billy, Linda, Roise and Nicole for just about everything else. Nothing was too much trouble and a warm friendly atmosphere always awaited us.
We have already booked for the Dominican Republic for 2007, but will try to return to the Anassa in 2006 but can definately say we will be back in 2008. The reviews said it was good, but WOW!

Had the most fantastic holiday of our lives!!! The staff were all so very welcoming and friendly. Many thanks to Effy, Linda, Del, Bill, Rosie and Nicole. The hotel is amazing. The food was incredible. The resort/island is the nicest place in Greece. We arrived back from the Anassa only yesterday and I’ve already recommended the place to almost everyone I know. We too will be booking for next year as soon as possible. We wouldn’t of enjoyed the holiday half as much without the amazing staff that work at the Anassa. We send our love to you all and hope you are all well. Don’t miss us too much – hehe.

One word sums this place up: FANTASTIC!

Thanks to Effie, Linda, Mike and lovely Rosie for making us feel so welcome. We have had the best holiday of our lives here, The pool is fantastic, the setting is fantastic, the staff are fantastic, the Island is fantastic.
As soon as we can confirm when we can have our holidays for next year we will be booking again, hopefully there will be some space left.

We returned from a weeks holiday at this great hotel on 14th May 2006. We had a terrific time, the rooms were lovely and very clean, and the staff were so welcoming and friendly, especially Linda and Mike. Many thanks for making our holiday such good fun. We would highly recommend this hotel and we hope to retun in the future. Take our advice and hire a car so you can explore the island, we did and had great fun.

We stayed here 2005 what an excellent place close to everything and very friendly and helpful staff. See you again in 2006

we have just come back from two fantastic weeks in the anassa hotel, a great hotel, very clean, absolutely lovely people, Linda was so good every day to us, the food was superb, the pool great , everyone friendly, the best hotel we have stayed in, definately recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed at the Anassa for 3 weeks from July 26th. It is a fantastic hotel, the staff were great- especially Linda. Rooms were clean and food good. Excellent location and the kids really liked all the films showm every night. Would certainly go back- a shame it is now in hands of the package tour companies.

We stayed at Anassa hotel end of June and the first days of July. It is one of the best hotels we have ever been to in Greece. Thanks to all the staff, and a spesial thanks to Mr. Spiro for the effort he made to find room to our friends too.

We enjoyed a fantastic two week stay at Hotel Anassa in May 2005. The Hotel is beautiful, with a lovely setting over-looking the sea. The team; Effie, George, Billy, Rosie and Linda were all great.

Have just returned from Skala, we didnt stay at the Anassa but spent a few sunny days around the pool.Its a beautiful Hotel & really clean with friendly staff. Hoping to stay there next year.

We stayed at the Anassa at the begining of May. It is the best hotel we have every stayed in on a Greek island. All the staff were so friendly and helpfull, nothing was to much for them. Thankyou for a great holiday. We will be back.
